As a proud member of Aces & Academics, she shows leadership, focus, and a commitment to growth that sets her apart in every room she walks into. On the field, Reyna is an all‑around athlete, the type who doesn’t just participate, she excels in whatever she puts her mind to. Whether it’s lacrosse, training, or any competitive challenge, she rises, adapts, and shines. Her talents don’t stop at sports. Reyna is also an avid guitar player, bringing creativity, rhythm, and passion to her music. And with her dedication and spirit, she’s becoming a martial artist in the making, adding strength, discipline, and confidence to her growing list of achievements. Aces Scholar Orokwu

Orowku, a standout graduate of Amity High School, has been part of Aces & Academics since she was just four years old, growing from a bright, curious child into a disciplined, driven, and high‑achieving scholar‑athlete. Over more than a decade in our program, she has embodied consistency, character, and ambition. A dedicated tennis competitor, she played all four years on the Amity High School Girls Tennis Team, demonstrating the same resilience, focus, and leadership on the court that she brought to her academic journey. Her commitment to excellence has been unwavering, and she completed her Aces & Academics experience with exceptional maturity and purpose. This fall, Orowku will attend Temple University, where she plans to major in Neurology, stepping confidently into one of the most advanced and impactful fields in STEM. Her path reflects everything Aces & Academics stands for rising in sport, in scholarship, and in life. She is the exemplar of Aces & Academics: a student who grows, leads, and achieves at the highest level.

Aces Scholar Jahmai

Jahmai is an exceptional scholar whose drive and discipline set her apart from the moment she entered high school. As a participant in the Connecticut State Dual Enrollment Program, she took college‑level courses all four years and achieved a remarkable milestone, graduating with her two‑year Associate’s Degree in Engineering from Gateway College before receiving her Hamden High School diploma. She joined Aces & Academics in the summer of 2024, having never picked up a tennis racket. Through her dedication, work ethic, and the structure of our training program, she learned the sport from the ground up and rose quickly, earning a spot on the Hamden High School Varsity Tennis Team during the 2025 season. This fall, Jamiah will attend the University of Hartford, entering with advanced standing and only 1.5 years remaining to complete her bachelor’s degree, a testament to her academic excellence and relentless commitment. Jamiah represents what focus, opportunity, and hard work can produce. She is a powerful example of both scholarly achievement and athletic growth of a student who elevates in every arena she enters.

Aces Scholar Joshua

Josh is a multi‑talented scholar‑athlete whose growth reflects the core values of Aces & Academics. He joined the program in the summer of 2024 with no tennis experience, yet through perseverance, discipline, and consistent training, he elevated his game at an extraordinary pace. Josh can now play a full set with confidence understanding the scoring system; serving with control and using his natural athleticism to reach every ball. He graduated from Hamden High School in June 2025 and earned acceptance to the University of Hartford, where he will continues his academic journey. Beyond athletics, Josh is a gifted creative mind, a skilled graphic designer and an exceptional artist whose work reflects both imagination and precision. Josh embodies the brand of Aces & Academics who are students who rise through dedication, unlock new abilities, and prove that excellence is built through effort, character, and belief in their own potential.
